The old site was better.

Charlie Don't Shake are rock and roll fingerpainters. They take country blues and old school R&B songs and make grand messes with meandering guitars, 80's keyboards and space echo. The result is gritty, super-rhythmic music that demands to be part of your next sing-along.

Charlie Don't Shake was formed by Craig Schmidt and Jeremy Whitwam. Together they wrote and - with help from scores of Lansing-and Chicago-based talent - recorded The South Will Take Your Blues Away, which was released in 2004. The Midwest EP in 2005 sent Steve Schmidt off to medschool in style. Craig and Jeremy have since recruited Andy LeRoy (drums), Chris Muffet (bass) and Josh Lambert (perc, keys) to bring their sounds to the masses in a town near you.

Look for an EP to be released in September 2006.
